Pleasantville, NJ (July 8, 2025) – A car accident in Pleasantville on Sunday, July 6, ended in a fatality. The fatal crash took place on the Atlantic City Expressway early that morning at around 4:27 a.m. Officials were en route after a report of an alleged wrong-way crash when they learned that a black Infiniti crashed into a concrete barrier near mile marker 4.1.
Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid. The driver of the Infiniti, 23-year-old Diana Barrios-Ortiz of Bridgeton, was hurt and treated for sustained injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old David Salas, suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities were present. No further information on the fatal accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
