Belvidere, NJ (July 13, 2025) – On Friday, July 11, a passenger was injured after a deadly car accident outside of Belvidere. The fatal crash took place on Route 519 in White Township late that night at around 11:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that a Mahanoy City woman was traveling southbound on the highway in a sport utility vehicle when the vehicle hit a rock.
This caused the vehicle to roll and then catch fire. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver, later identified as 54-year-old Jacqueline Bernette Breeland, was killed in the impact. An unidentified passenger was also injured. No updates on their condition have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being handled by local law enforcement officials.
