East Windsor, NJ (October 28, 2025) –On Monday, October 27, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on the northbound lane of Old Trenton Road near the intersection with Colt Circle, resulting in injuries to three people. The incident involved five vehicles and required emergency responders to extricate one driver from his vehicle.

According to West Windsor Police, a 2006 Toyota Scion driven by a 52-year-old Hamilton resident failed to notice that traffic ahead had stopped, striking a 2011 Honda CR-V that was operated by a 24-year-old Trenton resident. The impact triggered a chain reaction: the Scion hit a 2016 Nissan Rogue, which was forced into the southbound lane and sideswiped a 2020 Nissan Titan pickup. The Scion continued forward, making minor contact with a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee before coming to rest.

Emergency responders extricated the driver of the Scion, who was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center at Fuld in serious but stable condition. The drivers of the Nissan Rogue and Nissan Titan were taken to Penn Medicine Medical Center at Princeton with minor injuries. Authorities are conducting an investigation, and the identities of the drivers are being withheld pending further inquiries.

We send our best wishes to the injured victims as they recover.

Injuries in Multi-Vehicle Accidents

Multi-vehicle crashes likeThree Injured After Crash on Old Trenton Rd & Colt Circle the one on Old Trenton Road can result in a wide range of injuries, even in collisions that initially appear minor. Drivers and passengers are at risk of broken bones, fractures, spinal injuries, whiplash, and concussions, many of which may require immediate medical attention and long-term rehabilitation.

Internal injuries, including damage to organs or internal bleeding, can also occur and may not present symptoms right away, making prompt medical evaluation critical. Soft tissue damage, such as bruising, lacerations, contusions, and muscle strains, is common when vehicles collide or occupants are thrown against hard surfaces inside the car.

Even low-speed chain-reaction crashes can lead to serious consequences, as the force of multiple impacts amplifies the stress on the body. Occupants may also experience neck and back strain, herniated discs, or chronic pain, which can persist for months or even years after the initial accident.

Psychological effects are another significant concern. Individuals involved in high-impact collisions may suffer from anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, or a fear of driving, which can affect their daily routines and overall quality of life. The emotional impact may be compounded when multiple people are injured or when witnesses see the crash unfold, creating trauma beyond the physical injuries.

The severity and type of injuries often depend on several factors, including the speed and angle of impact, the size and weight of the vehicles involved, the use of seat belts, and the seating positions of the passengers. Vehicle safety features, such as airbags and reinforced frames, can reduce the severity of injuries, but they cannot eliminate risk.
