Demarest, NJ (July 24, 2025) – On Wednesday, July 23, a teenage girl was seriously hurt after a pedestrian crash in the Demarest area. The incident was reported at the corner of Anderson Avenue and County Road early that morning at around 9 a.m. The victim was on foot when they were hit by a school bus.
The circumstances leading to the incident have not yet been determined. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to render aid. The injured pedestrian was seriously hurt and transported to a local hospital by a medevac helicopter for treatment. The bus was operated by First Student, Inc., and the driver remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities. The area was temporarily closed as local officials were present.
